Buses from Malaga Airport with Bus Routes and Times

Malaga Airport buses to the city are operated via Express Airport Line 75, which takes passengers from the Transportation Hub at the airport to Malaga city center in just under 15 minutes. The Transportation Hub below Terminal 3 has direct access to the arrivals and departure areas. The airport’s own bus station is located below the terminal 3 building

Malaga buses charge EUR 3.00 for a single ticket into central Malaga and the ticket can be bought from the driver on the bus. Passengers should note they need to pay the driver in ready cash, as the driver won't accept credit or debit cards as payment options.

Buses from the airport on line 19 leave for a number of destinations in Malaga, stopping at the Avenida M. Augustin Heredia and Avenida Velazquez.

Buses for intercity connections to Torremolinos and Benalmadena for example are fairly cheap. A single ticket costs EUR 3.50 per adult passenger. The best bus route to use is line M-128, while bus line M-135 is best for the Malaga to Santa Amalia route, incorporating Alhaurin de la Torre and Malaga city centre. A single ticket for this journey is charged at EUR 2.05 per adult traveler.

The main bus terminal in Malaga is located right next to the main train station Malaga-Maria Zambrano on the Paseo los Tilos 0. From there passengers can take buses leaving for all destinations within the province and many destinations along the Costa del Sol as well as other European cities. Buses leave for Algeciras, Alhaurin de la Torre, Cadiz, Granada, Huelva, Seville, Jerez, Cartama, Coin, Estepona, Guaro, La Linea, Marbella, Mijas, Monda, Pinos de Alhaurin, Ronda and Tarifa among many other destinations.

Malaga Airport buses also cover the Marbella Airport line which travels to the main bus terminal located in the glamorous resort of Marbella. A single ticket is charged at EUR 4.77 per person. The journey will take around 45 minutes to complete. A single ticket on Malaga buses to Estepona will cost EUR 7.49 per person. A trip to Algeciras bus terminal via Malaga Airport buses will be charged at EUR 14.50 per person and the journey takes around 1 hour and 55 minutes. There's only a twice daily service for this destination.

ALSA buses from Malaga Airport also travel to Seville, namely the bus terminal at the Plaza de Almas in the heart of the city. This service runs just once a day at 16.45 hours, arriving in Seville at 20.00 hours. A single ticket costs EUR 16.34 and the return journey starts from Seville at 08.00 hours and arrives at the airport at 11.00 hours in the morning.

Long-distances coaches take passengers from The Transportation Hub to various destinations in Spain. Coach operator Avanzabus offers long-distance coach travel between Algeciras in the province of Cadiz and Malaga. A single ticket is charged at EUR 12.30 per person. Long-distance coach operator Alsa connects the cities of Granada and Seville with Malaga.

ALSA buses also offer a service to Granada, namely to the bus terminal on Avenida Juan Pabloli 33. The service leaves the airport at 10.30 hours, 11.30 hours and 14.00 hours, arriving in Granada after two and a half hours journey time. A single ticket costs just EUR 12.00 per person. The bus returns from Granada bus terminal at 07.00 hours, 08.00 hours and at 10.00 hours in the morning.
